Discovery of Child’s Body in Meadow by German Farmer Suggests Possible Link to Arian’s Disappearance

On Monday afternoon, the body of a child was discovered in a meadow in the German state of Lower Saxony. The German police suspect a possible connection to the disappearance of Arian, a 6-year-old boy who went missing from his parental home at the end of April. A farmer from Estorf found the body while mowing in the afternoon around 4:30 p.m.

However, the German police have not confirmed or denied whether the body is that of Arian. Detectives from the search team for the boy conducted a forensic investigation at the scene until late at night. The location where the body was found is about 4.5 kilometers from Arian’s home. The body was sent to an institute for forensic medicine to formally confirm the identity, with results expected later in the week.

Arian disappeared without a trace from his home in Ohfeldring, Germany, near Hamburg on April 22. Despite a large-scale search by emergency services, no results were found. Due to Arian’s autism, he did not speak or respond when called. The search was conducted using a “silent” strategy to not deter the boy, including playing children’s songs and setting off fireworks in hopes he would be drawn to the sounds.
