The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, along with the Food and Drug Administration, is warning the public against consuming Diamond Shruumz-brand Microdosing Chocolate Bars, Infused Cones, and Micro Dose and Macro Dose gummies. Instead, individuals are advised to discard these products. Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian, the Chief Medical Executive for the State of Michigan, stressed the importance of not consuming these edibles due to various health effects reported, such as seizures, decreased consciousness, and respiratory failure.
Other symptoms associated with consuming these products include agitation, abnormal heart rates, hyper/hypotension, nausea, and vomiting. The FDA recommends individuals experiencing any of these symptoms to contact their healthcare provider or the Poison Help Line for assistance. Despite discussions with the company regarding a potential voluntary recall, no recall has been initiated by the company at this time. While cases have been reported in 20 states, there have been no documented cases in Michigan thus far.
