In the trailer for Bando Stone & The New World, Glover’s character pairs up with a fellow survivor played by Jessica Allain, along with her son. Bando Stone, a former pop star, is ill-equipped to fend off bizarre sci-fi monsters. When asked if he can shoot, hunt, fish, or set a trap, he confidently replies that he can sing, to which Allain’s character responds with disdain. The group can only move around the tropical island at night, as the son warns that that’s when the monsters come out.
As the trailer reveals, Bando Stone encounters a variety of creepy computer-generated animals in the movie. The soundtrack for the film includes the track “Lithonia,” set to be released on July 2. Written by Evi Wilder, Bando Stone & The New World is produced by RCA Records and Childish Gambino through Glover’s production company, Gilga.
