After President Donald Trump left the stage, his aides cheered and applauded, celebrating his victory over President Biden in the first debate of this year. James Blair, the political director of Trump’s election campaign, took to social media to share the news of Trump’s victory, posting a video of aides gathered in a room, clapping, smiling, and cheering as Trump walked in from the debate stage. Trump also gave them a thumbs up in return.

The excitement among Trump’s aides was palpable after the debate, with senior adviser Chris LaCivita calling it “the most overwhelming victory in the history of presidential debates.” The Trump campaign seemed energized by this performance, with plans to target states like Virginia and Minnesota, aiming to secure victories where Trump had previously lost.

Vice President Kamala Harris expressed dissatisfaction with the criticism aimed at President Biden after the debate, acknowledging that it’s part of the game and that American voters will ultimately make their choice on election day. The debate between President Biden and Trump, hosted by CNN in Atlanta, covered various issues such as the economy, abortion rights, and international conflicts like Ukraine and Gaza.

President Biden appeared to struggle in the debate, with a hoarse voice and coughing, which his campaign attributed to a cold. Despite these challenges, the candidates engaged in a heated exchange during the 90-minute debate, with both sides defending their positions on key issues facing the nation.
