Former President Donald Trump’s physician released a note stating that Trump is in “excellent health” and will continue to live a healthy, active lifestyle for many years. It was posted on Trump’s Truth Social account on Democratic President Joe Biden’s 81st birthday and has become a major issue in the 2024 presidential race.
The note was released by Bruce Aronwald, an osteopath from New Jersey, and stated that Trump has reduced his weight through an improved diet and daily physical activity. However, it provided no further details.
Trump is currently leading the Republican nominating contest by a large margin, and Biden has expressed his intention to run for reelection. A Trump physician, Harold Bornstein, produced a similar note in 2016, in which he stated that Trump had dictated its contents.
In a recent incident, Trump indicated he weighed 215 pounds (98 kg) and was 6 feet 3 inches (1.9 meters) when he was booked at an Atlanta jail on more than a dozen felony charges. His legal problems include a wide-ranging criminal case stemming from Trump’s attempts to overturn his 2020 election defeat in Georgia. He has pleaded not guilty in that case and three other criminal cases against him.
