Donald Trump’s physician released a note on Monday stating that the former president is in “excellent health” and will continue to enjoy a “healthy active lifestyle.” The note, which Trump posted on his Truth Social account, came on the same day as Democratic President Joe Biden’s 81st birthday, and the physical and mental health of both men has become a major topic in the 2024 presidential race.
The note was signed by Bruce Aronwald, who is an osteopath from New Jersey. It stated that Trump has improved his diet and maintained daily physical activity, while keeping a rigorous schedule. However, the note did not provide any further details.
It also mentioned that Trump’s physical exams were within the normal range and his cognitive exams were exceptional. Trump is currently ahead in the Republican nominating contest, and Biden plans to run for re-election.
In 2016, a similar note was released by Trump’s physician at the time, Harold Bornstein, who said that Trump had dictated its contents. Trump claimed to weigh 215 pounds and be 6 feet 3 inches in August when he was booked at an Atlanta jail on felony charges related to attempts to overturn his 2020 election defeat in Georgia. He has pleaded not guilty in that case and three others.
