In Santa Clara, there is some concern surrounding Samuel Womack, the backup cornerback for the 49ers. He was absent from Thursday’s practice due to a knee issue. It is unclear how severe Womack’s condition is, but it is believed that he may have sustained the injury during Wednesday’s practice. His availability for the 49ers’ upcoming Week 2 game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday is the main focus for the team.

On a positive note, linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who was dealing with groin symptoms and missed practice on Wednesday, returned to the field for limited practice on Thursday. For the Rams, wide receiver Puka Nacua is their biggest injury concern. He missed Thursday’s practice due to an oblique injury. Nacua, a fifth-round draft pick from BYU, had an impressive start to his career with the Rams, contributing to their victory over the Seattle Seahawks with 10 catches for 119 yards on 15 targets from quarterback Matthew Stafford.

In terms of participation, the 49ers’ report shows that Samuel Womack did not practice due to his knee issue. Dre Greenlaw had limited participation as he continues to deal with his groin symptoms. However, tight end George Kittle, wide receiver RayRay McLeod, and offensive tackle Trent Williams were all full participants in practice. Williams was listed as resting and not injured.

For the Rams, Puka Nacua did not practice due to his oblique injury. Safety Jason Taylor had limited participation due to a groin issue, while offensive tackle Joseph Noteboom and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon were both full participants.
