The Bengals are facing a quarterback shortage after Joe Burrow’s season-ending wrist injury. In response, the team has signed Drew Plitt to their practice squad. Plitt was with the team during the 2022 preseason but has not been on an NFL roster since being cut that summer. Instead, he played for Arlington in the XFL during the 2023 season. Despite a mixed performance, the Bengals are looking to Plitt to bolster their quarterback lineup.

Currently, Jake Browning is set to start for the Bengals with AJ McCarron in line for the No. 2 job. Additionally, the Bengals have designated running back Chase Brown for return from injured reserve and placed guard Jaxson Kirkland on the practice squad injured reserve. These moves reflect the team’s efforts to address their current roster challenges and build a competitive lineup for upcoming games.
