Earlier this week, Madden NFL 25 revealed Christian McCaffrey as this year’s cover athlete. EA has now shared details on what fans can expect from this year’s edition of Madden, including the new Boom Tech feature. Boom Tech is described as a dynamic physics-based tackling system and the latest version of Madden’s FieldSense technology. This new feature aims to enhance ball carrier control and unlock the re-engineered Hit Stick, providing a more realistic gameplay experience.
In addition to Boom Tech, Madden NFL 25 will introduce upgrades to FieldSense to improve authenticity in offense, defense, and special teams. The reloaded hit stick will now be a skill-based mechanic, influenced by player ratings. Offensive immersion will be enhanced with new jukes, spins, and hesi releases for ball carriers. The updated NFL kickoff rules will also be included in the game upon its release in August.
Mike Mahar, Madden NFL Senior Production Director, expressed excitement for the advancements in Madden NFL 25, describing Boom Tech as the most impactful FieldSense improvement yet. The game promises a new audio and visual experience, enhanced modes, and increased customization options.
Madden NFL 25 will be available on August 16th, with pre-orders now open. The Deluxe Edition includes early access to the game, while the MVP Bundle offers both Madden NFL 25 and College Football 25 Deluxe Editions for $150. Fans can look forward to a fresh and immersive Madden experience with the launch of Madden NFL 25 this summer.
