Tony Cooley, CBI, M&AM, has recently been appointed to the ECU Health Medical Center Board of Directors. This appointment was made by the Pitt County Board of Commissioners and is effective as of June 26, 2023. With over 30 years of management experience, Cooley has developed a particular expertise in working with privately held domestic companies. He has worked in various sectors, including manufacturing, wholesale/distribution, construction, healthcare, and technology. Currently, he serves as a senior business broker in eastern North Carolina and is the founder and owner of Transworld Business Advisors, based in Greenville.
Cooley’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Youngstown State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. In addition to his professional achievements, Cooley is strongly committed to supporting Eastern North Carolina communities. He has a passion for attracting investment and enhancing the lives of residents. This dedication is evident in his involvement as a board member of the NC East Alliance, a nonprofit organization focused on economic development in 29 counties. Additionally, he serves on the advisory board of the Small Business Technology Development Center (SBTDC).
