The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in Egypt announced that gas supplies to fertilizer factories would gradually resume starting the following day after temporarily reducing supplies on Tuesday. The Ministry stated that the gas allocated to fertilizer companies had been redirected to power generation plants due to preventive maintenance work on the gas networks. This led to many chemical and fertilizer companies in Egypt having to temporarily pause operations in their factories as the natural gas network experienced increased pressures, causing instability.

The Egyptian Kuwaiti Holding Company, Misr Fertilizer Production Company (MOPCO), and Abu Qir Fertilizer and Chemical Industries Company were among those affected by the gas supply reduction. They had to halt their operations as a precautionary measure to prevent further strain on the gas network. This disruption in gas supplies highlighted the importance of maintaining a balance in gas distribution to ensure the stability of the network and prevent interruptions in various industries.
