LSU’s top uncommitted player on the 2025 recruiting board is DJ Pickett, a five-star safety from Zephyrhills, Florida. He is set to make his decision within the next two weeks, on July 17, between a final four schools that include LSU, Georgia, Oregon, and Miami. On3 ranks Pickett as the No. 6 player in the nation and the top player in Florida.
LSU hosted Pickett for an official visit on May 31 and initially had the momentum. However, after busy month where he visited his other finalists, the race seems to be wide open. There are no crystal ball projections for Pickett, but LSU does have a slight lead according to the On3 recruiting prediction machine. Miami and Oregon are also continuing to push for the elite prospect.
