Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has postponed his planned trip to India due to “very heavy” obligations at Tesla. His visit was expected to include a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the confirmation that Tesla will build a factory in India, the world’s most populous country. Musk, who is also the boss of rocket company SpaceX, was expected to announce an investment of $2-3 billion in India, mainly for building the new Tesla factory. His visit was scheduled just after India commenced the world’s largest democratic election, in which Modi is expected to win a rare third consecutive term as prime minister.
