Elysée honors Chef of the Quirinale, Macron impressed by his culinary creations

An Italian chef was awarded by the Elysée in a recognition of outstanding culinary talent. The Chef of the Quirinale received the insignia of Officer of the Ministerial Order of Agricultural Merit from Guillaume Gomez, Ambassador for gastronomy, and Special Envoy of the President of the French Republic for gastronomy and food. Fabrizio Boca, the executive chef of the Presidency of the Italian Republic, has cooked for kings, queens, and heads of state over the years, impressing guests like Macron and his wife Brigitte with his dishes at the Quirinale.

Boca’s career was praised by the French Ambassador, who highlighted his curiosity, ambition, and dedication to sharing his knowledge. The Ambassador also lauded Boca’s commitment to social inclusion and innovative culinary techniques. The award for Agricultural Merit symbolized the strong bond between the two nations, emphasizing the importance of culture, history, and economy in their relationship.

For 30 years, Boca has worked for the Presidency of the Republic and has been involved in various social inclusion projects. Collaborating with the Italian Association of people with Down syndrome, Boca has not only served the powerful but also trained aspiring chefs. These initiatives have been part of the Quirinale’s efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in the culinary world.

In addition to his work at the Quirinale, Boca has also founded the OCUCO cooking and table arts school, further showcasing his dedication to education and innovation in the culinary field. With a focus on promoting Italian regional excellence and traditional recipes, Boca continues to leave a mark on the world of gastronomy.
