In May, JHU employees took part in the Mind Your Health Challenge, participating in various classes offered on the Burnalong platform. Each week, random winners were selected to receive fun prizes. A total of 21,432 exercise and mindfulness minutes were completed during the challenge, helping participants to improve both their mental and physical health while also building a sense of community within the platform.
Burnalong offers a wide range of live and on-demand educational and fitness classes for free to JHU employees. Users can also add up to four subaccounts so friends and family can join in on the well-being journey. Additionally, users have the option to create their own challenges on Burnalong to motivate others to build healthy habits.
If you missed out on the recent challenge, don’t worry – the next JHU well-being challenge will take place in the fall. In the meantime, employees can continue to enjoy classes on the Burnalong platform. If you haven’t already signed up for a free account, you can do so by registering on the platform’s website.
For more information on JHU Well-Being programs, employees can visit the Benefits & Worklife website or reach out to wellnessprograms@jhu.edu.
