Endrick: Young Brazilian talent secures last-minute victory over Mexico

Endrick, a young Brazilian soccer phenom, continues to impress with each game he plays for the Seleção. In a recent Copa America warm-up match against Mexico, the 17-year-old scored a crucial goal in stoppage time to secure a 3-2 victory for Brazil at Kyle Field, Texas. This marked his third goal in his last three international appearances.

Despite Mexico coming back to level the score in the 92nd minute, Endrick jumped to head home a cross from Vinícius Jr. to put Brazil back in front. Alongside goals from Andreas Pereira and Gabriel Martinelli, Endrick’s goal ultimately secured the win for his team.

Following the match, Endrick expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to play and score for the national team. He mentioned the team’s commitment to working hard and their goal of winning the upcoming Copa America tournament. Endrick’s impressive performance follows his winning goal against England in March, where he became the youngest male player to score at Wembley and the youngest player to score for Brazil since Ronaldo Nazario.

Endrick’s talent has long been recognized by the soccer world, leading Real Madrid to secure an agreement with him to join the club when he turns 18 in July. Despite his limited senior playing time with Palmeiras, the Brazilian club where he started his career, Endrick has made a significant impact and has continued to shine for both his club and national team.

Having made history with Palmeiras as the youngest player to debut and score, as well as the only player to win trophies at every age level, Endrick’s future in football looks bright. With upcoming friendly matches against the US and the start of the Copa America campaign, all eyes will be on this young prodigy as he continues to make waves in the soccer world.
