Energetic Lubbock teens launch landscaping business for the summer

Debrice Britt Jr. and Jaymez Clark Jr., both teenagers, have taken it upon themselves to improve the appearance of Lubbock this summer by beautifying yards one at a time. This venture started when the teenage cousins began their business, Young Boy Lawn Services, and are eager to expand their clientele.

Initially, at 15 and 13 years old, Debrice and Jaymez began by mowing the lawns of their family members. It didn’t take them long to realize that they could turn this into a profitable business. They started by asking people in their community if they needed their lawns taken care of, offering to do the work at an affordable rate.

Eventually, the two were able to add more staff to their business and their popularity boomed. Young Boy Lawn Services gained recognition after they cut the grass at the Guadalupe Parkway Sommerville Centers, which led to the organization posting about them on social media with praise.

As the business continues to grow, Debrice and Jaymez are looking into expanding and running a more professional operation. Their family members have seen that other kids are interested in working with them, and they hope to hire more staff in the future to accommodate the growth in demand for their services. For anyone in need of a landscaper, Young Boys Lawn Service can be contacted at 806-860-3134.
