Harry Kane, England’s all-time leading goalscorer with 62 goals in 89 appearances, has recovered from a back injury and is ready to lead England into Euro 2024, according to manager Gareth Southgate. Kane, who is 30 years old, had to be substituted during Bayern Munich’s Champions League semi-final second leg match against Real Madrid due to his injury. He then missed the final two Bundesliga games of the season.

Bayern Munich’s outgoing boss, Thomas Tuchel, mentioned that Kane was dealing with a “complete blockage” and was having trouble moving. However, Southgate has stated that Kane is now nearly back to full fitness and is in good spirits about the situation. Southgate emphasized that they are not worried about the injury at the moment.

Kane had a successful season with Bayern Munich, scoring 44 goals in 45 appearances after his move from Tottenham last summer. Despite not winning any trophies with the German club, Kane’s commitment and determination to succeed in this new challenge have never faltered. Southgate acknowledged that Kane may be disappointed with the lack of silverware but mentioned that the striker is focused on the upcoming tournament.

Southgate praised Kane’s performance in the Bundesliga and highlighted that the club is pleased with his goal-scoring contributions. He noted that Kane had a slightly different role at Bayern Munich, focusing more on staying higher up the pitch and being less involved in the build-up play. Despite this adjustment, Kane has delivered the goals that were expected of him, showcasing his ability to adapt to different tactical demands.
