At Conversations, our annual business messaging event, we shared the latest product updates to help people and businesses do more on WhatsApp. From answering customer questions, to discussing products and finalizing a purchase, messaging plays a crucial role in getting business done.
AI tools are being implemented on WhatsApp to better assist businesses in helping customers and promoting products. The AI is being trained to respond to popular customer inquiries, allowing businesses to quickly provide the information customers are seeking. In addition, AI is being integrated to help businesses create ads on Facebook and Instagram, encouraging customers to make purchases or complete their shopping carts with discounts.
Meta Verified is now being rolled out on the WhatsApp Business app in Brazil, India, Indonesia, and Colombia. This verification badge signifies that a business has registered their information with Meta, providing enhanced account support and protection from impersonation. Businesses with Meta Verified can utilize WhatsApp across multiple devices for their employees, enhancing communication and customer service.
In order to better assist customers who require live assistance, WhatsApp is introducing the ability to call larger businesses with just one tap. Whether it’s a complex travel request or opening a new account with a bank, a quick call can be the most effective way to get help. This feature is currently being tested and will be expanded to more businesses in the near future.
