Enlightenment Capital makes strategic investment in software company Summit Technology Group

STG received financial advice from Houlihan Lokey and legal advice from Dentons for the transaction, while Enlightenment Capital had legal advice from Moore & Van Allen. Enlightenment Capital, located in the Washington, D.C. area, focuses on investing in middle market companies in the aerospace, defense, government, and technology sectors.

Enlightenment Capital recently invested in Summit Technology Group, a company based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, that provides software for government, regulatory, and financial workflows. The financial details of the investment were not disclosed. The investment from Enlightenment Capital is aimed at speeding up the distribution of STG’s products.

Thomas Young, a principal at Enlightenment Capital, expressed excitement about the partnership with STG, praising their ability to solve complex problems with their cloud-native software. Young mentioned that the partnership will provide STG with the necessary financial and strategic resources to continue innovating and improving their software for government and regulatory workflows.

Along with Houlihan Lokey and Dentons, Moore & Van Allen and Morrison & Foerster were also involved in the transaction. Moore & Van Allen provided legal advice to Enlightenment Capital, while Morrison & Foerster offered government contracting legal advisory services.
