European Country Gearing Up for Possible Russian Aggression: Is Another War on the Horizon?

The Danish government has urged its citizens to be prepared for potential attacks or crises by stockpiling essentials such as water, food, and medicine, as well as keeping iodine pills at home. With the growing threat from Russia, the authorities have heightened their preparedness measures and advised citizens to take similar precautions.

During the country’s annual democratic convention, Danish Minister of Defense Trolls Lund Fulsen emphasized the threat of hybrid warfare to Denmark and its allies. He noted the possibility of disruptions to essential services like electricity and water, prompting individuals to make necessary arrangements to sustain themselves in such situations.

The recommendations include storing non-perishable food that doesn’t require cooking, ensuring an adequate supply of water, and being prepared for power outages with batteries, flashlights, and candles. It is also advised for individuals under 40 to have iodine pills on hand in case of a nuclear accident, although the likelihood of needing them is deemed low.

Denmark’s Emergency Management Agency, led by To Ayla Reinberg, stressed the importance of citizens not panicking and gradually accumulating the recommended supplies. The recent increase in the threat level for cyberattacks further underscores the need for preparedness, as Russia’s willingness to engage in hybrid attacks poses a serious risk.
