The Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science has appointed Jennifer Evans as its new executive director. Evans has experience as a not-for-profit executive with a background in development, fundraising, and public service administration. She has previously worked at Mesker Park Zoo and WNIN Tri-State Public Media.

According to Stephanie Engelbrecht, chair of the museum’s search committee, the Search Committee, Board of Trustees, and Museum staff are excited to welcome Jennifer and are confident she will lead the organization to further success as the arts, history, and science destination of the region. Evans will succeed Mary McNamee Bower, who will become executive director emerita.

Adam Borgman, president of the museum’s board of trustees, stated that during a critical and exciting time in the Museum’s history, it was important to identify a new leader who could build upon the success that outgoing Executive Director Mary Bower has created. They see Jennifer as a local leader who will bring her community connections, business acumen, and leadership qualities to the Museum.

Jennifer Evans will assume her new role as executive director on July 22nd. This new appointment marks an important change in leadership for the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science.
