The Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science has appointed Jennifer Evans as its new executive director. Evans brings experience as a not-for-profit executive with a background in development, fundraising, and public service administration. She has held previous positions with Mesker Park Zoo and WNIN Tri-State Public Media. The museum’s search committee, Board of Trustees, and staff are eager to welcome Evans, confident that she will lead the organization to new heights as a destination for arts, history, and science in the region.

Upon taking on her new role, Evans will succeed Mary McNamee Bower, who will transition to the role of executive director emerita. Adam Borgman, president of the museum’s Board of Trustees, emphasized the importance of finding a new leader who could build upon Bower’s successes and foundation. The board identified Evans as a local leader with strong community connections, business acumen, and leadership qualities to further the museum’s mission. Evans will officially assume her position as executive director on July 22nd.
