Eddie Rosario, a former hero of the Braves’ 2021 World Series run, has returned to the organization. Rosario, who was a key player during the team’s championship run, signed with the Braves on Friday. He played a significant role in the National League Championship Series and won the NLCS Most Valuable Player award for his outstanding performance against the Dodgers.
During the 2021 postseason, Rosario appeared in all 16 games and hit three home runs while maintaining a .560 batting average. Following the World Series victory, he signed a two-year contract with the Braves. However, after the 2023 season, the Braves decided not to pick up his $9 million club option, leading him to spend the first part of the 2024 season with the Washington Nationals. Unfortunately, Rosario struggled at the plate, batting just .183 in 67 games.
Now, at 32 years old, Rosario will report to the AAA Gwinnett Braves as he looks to regain his form at the plate. His return to the Braves organization has sparked excitement among fans who remember his contributions to the team’s success in 2021.
