Former Swansea City manager, Steve Cooper, is making his return to football as the new manager of Leicester City. Cooper, who is 44 years old, has been without a job since his departure from Nottingham Forest in December. He first took on the role of head coach at Swansea in 2019, guiding the team to the Championship play-offs for two consecutive seasons before exiting in 2021.

After leaving Swansea, Cooper went on to lead Nottingham Forest to promotion to the Premier League in a remarkable fashion. He has now agreed to take over from Enzo Maresca at Leicester’s King Power Stadium. The appointment comes after heavy speculation linking the Foxes with Cooper’s predecessor at Swansea, Graham Potter, earlier in the week.

Cooper’s return to management in the Premier League marks a significant moment in his career, as he looks to continue his success and make an impact at Leicester City. His experience and track record of success in the Championship will be key assets as he takes on the challenge of leading the Foxes in the top flight.
