A former Georgia Bulldog wide receiver, Matt Landers, has signed with the Cleveland Browns in the NFL after a brief stint in the UFL with the San Antonio Brahmas. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 200 pounds, Landers previously spent time on the practice squads of the Seattle Seahawks and the Carolina Panthers in 2023. Despite his impressive physical attributes, his on-field production has not always matched his athletic abilities.

During his time at Georgia from 2017 to 2020, Landers had a standout season in 2019, where he caught ten passes for 105 yards and a touchdown. However, his role diminished in 2020, leading him to transfer to Toledo for the following year. In his sole season with the Toledo Rockets, Landers had a breakout year, recording 20 receptions for 514 yards and five touchdowns before transferring to Arkansas for his final year of eligibility.

At Arkansas, Landers had his best collegiate season, leading the team in receiving with 47 catches for 901 yards and eight touchdowns. Despite facing challenges throughout his college career, Landers has shown flashes of potential and will now look to make an impact with the Cleveland Browns in the NFL. This news was first reported on UGA Wire.
