A new exhibition is set to open at Science Central in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday. The exhibition, titled ‘America’s Monsters, Superheroes, and Villains’, will be available for visitors to explore starting at 10 a.m. on June 8th. This exhibition will be located in Science Central’s Temporary Exhibitions Gallery, adding to the organization’s collection of over 200 permanent exhibits, daily demonstrations, and special events.
‘America’s Monsters, Superheroes, and Villains’ will feature hundreds of vintage toys, comic books, games, posters, and media. These items will be accompanied by interpretative signage that explains their cultural significance. The exhibition will delve into how pop culture, particularly in the realm of science fiction, has reflected the changing values and cultural tensions of the United States over the past 80 years.
