New York Liberty Guard and Nike frontwoman Sabrina Ionescu is determined to win prize money this season in her fourth year in the WNBA. Alongside Ionescu, the Liberty roster includes All-Stars Briana Stewart, Courtney Vandersloot, and Jonkel Jones, making them one of the WNBA’s superteams this year. Winning is the ultimate goal for women in basketball, but New York is the only original franchise in the league yet to win a title.
The Liberty started their 2023 season with a loss away to the Washington Mystics, followed by a home win against the Indiana Fever. However, Ionescu is not just focused on her new superteam. In addition to being the Chief Athlete Officer of Division Her Streets, an Oregon-focused NIL company, Ionescu recently unveiled her own signature shoe with Nike, making her the eighth woman to do so.
Aside from basketball, Ionescu is expanding her life through Buzzer Media and her investment in Nex.
