The Falcons made a roster move on Wednesday by signing cornerback Harrison Hand and waiving cornerback Anthony Sao. Sao was one of three undrafted free agent corners signed by the Falcons in April. Hand was drafted in the fifth round by the Vikings in 2020 after playing college football at Temple. He spent two seasons in Minnesota, playing 23 games before joining the Bears. Hand last played in 2022, appearing in four games with one start for Chicago.
In his three seasons in the NFL, Hand has played in 27 games with two starts. He has recorded 24 tackles, four pass breakups, and one interception, which he made against Saints quarterback Drew Brees in 2020. The Falcons will look to Hand to provide depth and experience in the cornerback position as they prepare for the upcoming season. Hand’s versatility and NFL experience will be valuable assets for the team as they work to improve their defense.
