FDA recalls mushroom products due to health concerns

In Fairfield County, Connecticut, psilocybin mushrooms are being cultivated in a humidified “fruiting chamber” in the basement of a private home. Recent studies have indicated that psilocybin mushrooms, also known as “magic mushrooms,” have shown promise in treating a variety of mental health conditions such as anxiety, anorexia, depression, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and substance abuse.
