The Miami Dolphins announced contracts for five of their seven 2024 NFL draft picks on Tuesday morning. Running back Jaylen Wright, pass rusher Mohamed Kamara, wide receiver Malik Washington, safety Patrick McMorris, and wide receiver Tahj Washington are all now under contract. Only first-round pick Chop Robinson and second-rounder Patrick Paul remain unsigned.
The Dolphins decided to wait until June to start signing their 2024 draft class due to limited salary cap space. However, with Xavien Howard coming off the team’s books on Saturday and an additional $18.5 million available, Miami is expected to sign Robinson and Paul soon.
All five players signed on Tuesday were selected on the third day of the 2024 NFL draft. Wright was the first of the group to be chosen with a fourth-round pick acquired in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Dolphins’ 2024 offseason program will conclude this week with a three-day mandatory minicamp scheduled from Tuesday to Thursday.
