Throughout the pandemic, the phrase “Follow the Science!” was constantly reiterated. Unfortunately, many policymakers and public health officials did not always heed their own advice. Numerous major mandates were implemented that were not based on scientific evidence, causing harm in the process. These mistakes in the healthcare sector were not isolated incidents, as there have been other instances of unscientific decision-making in recent times.

Policies put in place to address this issue have often been costly and economically counterproductive. This demonstrates a pattern of unscientific activity in various areas, with potentially serious consequences.
