Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss Supports Donald Trump’s Bid for US Presidency

Former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss recently expressed her support for Donald Trump in the upcoming US presidential elections. Truss stated that she believed the world was a safer place when Trump was in office, citing his aggressive stance towards Iran and China as reasons for her endorsement.

In an interview with BBC, Truss acknowledged that while she did not agree with everything Trump has said, she believed he was effective in preventing aggressive regimes from expanding. She also praised his support for Ukraine and highlighted the difference she believes his reelection in 2020 would have made.

Truss expressed her hope to see Trump back in the White House, stating that it “has to be.” Her endorsement comes at a time when Trump is facing multiple criminal prosecutions, making him the first US ex-president to be criminally prosecuted. These cases include allegations of falsifying business records, hoarding top-secret documents, and attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Despite these legal challenges, Trump remains a polarizing figure in American politics. Many voters feel that President Joe Biden’s return to the White House has been hindered by concerns over his age and ability to serve another four-year term. The upcoming elections will be a critical moment for the future of US politics.
