Just over a year ago, defensive back Antonio Carter II arrived on Notre Dame’s campus as a transfer from Rhode Island, choosing the Irish over LSU and Florida. During the 2023 season, Carter made eight tackles for Notre Dame before announcing his decision to enter the transfer portal.

Following his time at Notre Dame, Carter revealed on Monday that he will be continuing his football career at Jacksonville State. He joins 16 other former Notre Dame players who have also entered the transfer portal this off-season, with all of them announcing their next destinations.

We wish Carter the best of luck at his new stop at Jacksonville State and hope to see him achieve success in the future. Who knows, perhaps a victory against Florida State could once again be in store for his new team. The original story was first published on Fighting Irish Wire.
