G.T. Bynum, who has served as the mayor of Tulsa since 2016, will be joining the Saint Francis Health System as the vice president of community and government affairs when his term ends later this year. This announcement was made by Saint Francis Health System President and CEO Dr. Cliff Robertson on Saturday. Dr. Robertson praised Bynum as a visionary leader for the city of Tulsa and expressed his pride in welcoming him to the Saint Francis team.
In his new role, Bynum will be responsible for overseeing community and government affairs at Saint Francis Health System. He will transition to this position after leaving office in December. Mayor Bynum expressed his admiration for the Saint Francis Health System and its impact on the community. He highlighted the excellence instilled by the Warren family and other healthcare leaders in the Tulsa community over the past 64 years.
Prior to his tenure as mayor, Bynum served on the Tulsa City Council for eight years. He was reelected in 2020 and has also been involved in public service for a quarter of a century. Mayor Bynum expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work in service to heroes who save lives and believes that his experience in public service will benefit the Saint Francis Health System moving forward.
