In a recent interview with the BBC, former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss publicly endorsed Donald Trump for re-election in the upcoming US presidential elections. Truss stated that she believes the world was safer when Trump was in office, despite not agreeing with all of his actions. She praised Trump for his more aggressive approach towards Iran and China, as well as his support for Ukraine.
Truss expressed her strong support for Trump, saying that it “has to be” when asked if she would like to see him back in the White House. She believes that Trump was more effective in preventing aggressive regimes from expanding globally and that the world would be in a different position if he had been re-elected in 2020.
However, Trump is currently facing legal challenges as the first US ex-president to be criminally prosecuted. He is accused of falsifying business records to cover up an alleged sexual encounter with Stormy Daniels during his 2016 election campaign. Additionally, Trump faces other criminal cases related to hoarding top-secret documents after leaving office and attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
Despite these legal challenges, Trump remains a divisive figure in American politics. While some continue to support him and believe in his ability to lead, others have expressed concerns about his actions and the impact they have had on the country.
