Jun 7, 2024

The Auburn football program is focused on recruiting top talent and raising its profile on the national stage. Recent official visits have been successful, with cornerback Donovan Starr committing to the Tigers shortly after his visit. Starr, from Brentwood, Tennessee, chose Auburn over other schools like Missouri, Clemson, Tennessee, and Illinois. He is ranked as the 385th player in the nation and the 36th cornerback in the 2025 class, as well as the 12th player in Tennessee.

Starr is the third cornerback commit for Auburn’s 2025 cycle, joining Devin Williams and Dante Core in the secondary. He was heavily recruited by cornerbacks coach Wesley McGriff and defensive coordinator DJ Durkin, which played a significant role in his decision. The Tigers’ 2025 recruiting class is currently ranked 10th nationally and 5th in the SEC, with 12 commits so far.
