Alai Kalaniuvalu is a highly sought-after 6-foot-4, 300-pound four-star interior offensive lineman who currently plays for Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. He has received offers from 25 Power Four programs, including big-name schools such as Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Ohio State. He recently visited Nebraska and Cal, with plans to visit Utah, Michigan, and Oregon in the coming weeks. USC is also showing interest in Kalaniuvalu as a potential recruit, with offensive line coach Josh Henson hoping to bring him to Los Angeles.
During his visit to USC, Kalaniuvalu was impressed by the emphasis on culture, development, and preparation for the next level. His experience mirrored that of another top offensive tackle prospect, Aaron Dunn, who also visited USC recently. Both players have taken note of Coach Henson’s teaching techniques, which have drawn top offensive linemen to the program.
When asked about his visit to USC, Kalaniuvalu mentioned the strong focus on culture and history, as well as the valuable lessons he learned from Coach Henson about recognizing different types of plays on the field. Head coach Lincoln Riley has also stressed the importance of size in recruiting, aligning with the program’s goals for the 2025 class.
