Four-star wide receiver recruit Travis Smith Jr. has set a date to announce his commitment, choosing among top schools Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, and Tennessee. The announcement is scheduled for July 13th. In the meantime, Smith is planning visits to each of the schools on his list in the coming weeks.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound standout plays high school football at Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently ranked as the No. 118 recruit in the nation, Smith is the No. 14 wide receiver and the No. 17 recruit in Georgia in the class of 2025, according to 247Sports. He is a versatile athlete who also plays basketball and competes in track and field.
Despite interest from multiple schools, 247Sports projects Smith to commit to the Georgia Bulldogs. The Bulldogs, led by coach Kirby Smart, currently boast the nation’s 12th-ranked recruiting class. They have already secured commitments from nine recruits in the class of 2025, including three-star wide receiver Thomas Blackshear.
Georgia football is coming off signing the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class in the 2024 cycle, showing a strong track record of attracting top talent. Smith’s commitment announcement on July 13 will be eagerly awaited by fans and coaches alike.
