Live Healthy Gwinnett will be hosting a community health fair in support of Mental Health Awareness Month on Saturday, May 11. The event, organized by Gwinnett County officials, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center in Suwanee.
The health fair is free to attend and will offer interactive demonstrations, health screenings, and opportunities to connect with local agencies. Sponsors for the event include CareSource and GUIDE, Inc.
Project Coordinator Carion Marcelin expressed excitement about the event, stating that they are looking forward to promoting mental health awareness and providing residents with valuable resources and information. The goal of the fair is to break the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage individuals to prioritize their well-being.
