Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has recently left Windsor for the first time since her planned abdominal surgery. A friend of hers mentioned that she is “on the mend” after spending two weeks at the London Clinic for an undisclosed procedure. She is now on a half-term holiday with Prince William and their three children at Sandringham. Meanwhile, King Charles is also at Sandringham following his first cancer treatment.
The health issues of both Kate and Charles have created a crisis for the royal family, with Charles being diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer after initial treatment for an enlarged prostate. Middleton’s friend told the Daily Mail, “Catherine is recovering well. She was looking forward to a change of scene and will be able to take it easy in Norfolk while the children let off steam with William.”
According to Kinsey Schofield, the host of the To Di For Daily podcast, the royal’s recovery has been smooth, and she has been keeping busy at home. “I have heard that the Princess of Wales has been responding to emails, but everything has been structured so that she is not overwhelmed or disturbed by incoming dialogue,” Schofield noted. “Kate is not a rule breaker. She is going to follow the doctor’s orders but engage when she can, so she doesn’t feel behind. I don’t expect to see her in an official capacity until Easter, but I believe she is engaged behind the scenes.”
