Today marks the 60th anniversary of the assassination of American President John F. Kennedy, also known as JFK or Jack. The Kennedy family’s history is marred by a series of tragic events. Jack’s sister Rosemary was left paralyzed after a horrific lobotomy, while his sister Kathleen died in a plane crash in the French Alps. Their older brother Joe died in a war plane, and their brother Robert was assassinated in 1968 while campaigning for the presidential election. The family’s tragedies continued with the deaths of their children in the years to come.
