Residents in the Rockford area recently came together for a day of healthy family fun at the Midtown Community Health Group Fun and Health Fair. Hosted at the Patriot’s Gateway Community Center on 5th Street, the event was a great opportunity for families to enjoy activities and gain valuable health information.
The second annual Fun and Health Fair was a collaborative effort between the Midtown Community Health Group and various community organizations. With around 40 vendors in attendance, attendees had access to a wide range of resources and information related to health and wellness.
According to Rockford Regional Health Council executive director Shelton Kay, the fair provided an opportunity for families to participate in activities together, with something for everyone to enjoy. Children could engage in fun activities while parents had the chance to gather valuable health information and make connections with local health-related resources.
Overall, the goal of the Fun and Health Fair was to empower residents by providing access to health resources, information, fresh produce, and opportunities for families to come together for a day of fun and learning. The event aimed to strengthen community bonds and promote a culture of health and wellness among residents.
