Genoa turn down Premier League bid for Morten Frendrup

Genoa recently made headlines by selling Radu Dragusin to Tottenham Hotspur from the Premier League. However, it appears that Morten Frendrup is the player who is now attracting interest from clubs abroad.

Rumors have linked Frendrup to a potential move to Milan in recent months, and it seems that a Premier League club has now entered the race for the Danish midfielder. According to Gianluca di Marzio, an English club has submitted an offer of €25 million for Frendrup, who impressed during the 2023/24 season.

Despite the interest from abroad, Genoa is keen on retaining Frendrup for the upcoming season as he is considered a key player for manager Alberto Gilardino’s squad. In the previous campaign, Frendrup featured in 37 Serie A matches, scoring two goals and providing five assists.

While Liverpool had previously been linked with a move for Frendrup, the identity of the English club that made the offer remains unknown. Get Italian Football News had previously reported on Liverpool’s interest in the midfielder, but it seems that another club has now entered the fray for his services.
