Georgia football coach Kirby Smart recently addressed reporters at the SEC spring meetings in Miramar Beach, Fla. The Bulldogs have been ranked highly in the newest edition of EA Sports College Football 25, with the highest ranked offense in the game. However, their defense is ranked second with a 94 overall, just two points behind Ohio State.

In terms of offensive rankings, Georgia and Oregon are tied at the top with a 94 overall rating. They are followed by Alabama, Texas, and Ohio State in the Top 5. On the defensive side, Georgia is ahead of teams like Oregon, Alabama, and Clemson, with a 94 ranking in total.

Last season, Georgia had the fifth-highest scoring offense in the country with 40.1 points per game, while their defense allowed just 15.6 points per game, also ranking fifth. Their offense averaged 496.5 yards per game and their defense allowed 289.1 yards per game, ranking fifth and ninth, respectively.

Carson Beck will lead the Bulldogs at quarterback, with the addition of running back Trevor Etienne from Florida during the offseason. Safety Malaki Starks and edge rusher Mykel Williams will be key players on Georgia’s defense.

EA Sports College Football 25 is set to release its first college football video game in over a decade on July 19. The game will be able to use player names and numbers due to NIL regulations, and will be revealing team rankings later this week.
