‘Get Out and Play’ event held by Alluvion Health Foundation in Great Falls

Alluvion Health Foundation recently hosted its annual ‘Get Out and Play’ day at Lions Park in Great Falls. This event is aimed at providing fun and inclusive recreational activities for kids. Teresa Schreiner, the director of the foundation, emphasized the importance of engaging children in inclusive recreational play. She believes that fostering a sense of inclusion and promoting wellness early in life will have long-lasting benefits for individuals.

This year marked the third consecutive year that Alluvion Health Foundation organized the free ‘Get Out and Play’ day. The event has been well-received by the community, with many families coming out to participate in the various activities. The foundation partnered with 16 businesses to make the event possible, all of whom share the mission of serving kids in the community.

Inclusive play is at the core of the ‘Get Out and Play’ day, promoting various aspects of well-being such as psychosocial skills, motor skills, and social interaction. By encouraging children to engage in recreational activities together, the event aims to foster teamwork and create a healthy environment for kids early in life. Partners like Eagle Mount have expressed their enthusiasm for being part of the event for the second year in a row.

The success of ‘Get Out and Play’ underscores the support and commitment of the community towards promoting wellness and inclusivity among children. The event continues to grow each year, inspiring young kids and families to spend time outdoors and interact with each other in a positive and healthy way. The foundation’s partnerships with local businesses and organizations have been crucial in making the event a success, highlighting the importance of community involvement in fostering wellness among children.
