Girona, part of the City Group, is looking to strengthen their squad this summer by acquiring a new center forward. They have set their sights on Valentin Castellanos from Lazio. The Spanish side has already made an initial offer of €12 million plus €3 million in add-ons for the Argentine striker, who had a successful debut season in Italy.

However, Lazio has rejected the first offer and is holding out for a higher price. They value Castellanos at least €20 million and are not eager to let him go. The club sees the 25-year-old as a talented player with the potential to become a star in Rome.

Undeterred by the rejection of their first offer, Girona has submitted a second bid for Castellanos. They have offered around €15 million plus add-ons to try to secure the services of the striker. The negotiations are ongoing as both clubs look to find a suitable agreement for the transfer.

Meanwhile, Girona is also preparing to sell Artem Dovbyk, who has attracted interest from clubs across Europe, including Napoli. The Spanish side is keen to find a replacement for Dovbyk and sees Castellanos as an ideal candidate to lead their attack in the upcoming season.
