A man from Gwinnett County was taken into custody last week following a burglary at a business in Norcross that occurred early in the morning. The incident took place on Mar. 21 at approximately 3:30 a.m. when police officers responded to an alarm at a business located on the 6000 block of Live Oak Parkway in Norcross. Upon arrival, officers discovered a broken window at the business and identified the suspect as 45-year-old Oscar Dominguez Sanchez, a resident of Norcross.

Sanchez was found to have retreated into the business, where he locked himself in a conference room as the police approached. Despite not disclosing the name of the business that Sanchez had broken into or the motive behind his actions, officers were able to apprehend him after a period of time. Subsequently, Sanchez faced charges including second-degree burglary, criminal damage to property, and obstruction of law enforcement.
