Hacker group LockBit 3.0 has launched an attack on KBC Zagreb, as announced by the X HackManac profile on Twitter. This group is known for conducting ransomware attacks, which involve demanding payment of a ransom after the attack. KBC Zagreb has been given until July 18 to pay the unspecified amount requested by LockBit 3.0.

According to HackManac, the hackers stole a wide range of data from the University Hospital Centre Zagreb (KBC Zagreb). This includes medical records, patient examinations, research papers of doctors, data on operations and organ donations, information from the tissue bank, employee data, donation records, business connections with private companies, and data on drug stocks.

HackManac, based in Dubai, is dedicated to providing detailed information on recent cyber attacks, including the names of ransomware groups, the victims, and the severity of the attacks. The platform is known for analyzing hacker activities and frequently exposes the operations of ransomware gangs like LockBit, BlackSuit, and 8Base. They also release regular reports summarizing cyber attacks from the previous week.

LockBit 3.0 is considered one of the most sophisticated and dangerous hacker groups focusing on ransomware attacks. They have adopted a Ransomware-as-a-Service (RaaS) model, making it easier for malicious actors, even those with limited experience, to carry out ransomware attacks. LockBit 3.0 stands out from other hacker groups due to their advanced technical capabilities and adaptability, using both known software vulnerabilities and zero-day vulnerabilities to their advantage.
