“Closing our new funding round allows us to leverage all the exciting opportunities we have in store and paves the way for our long-term growth,” said Or Danon, CEO and co-founder of Hailo. Together with the launch of our Hailo-10 GenAI accelerator, this move puts us in a strategic position to bring classic AI and GenAI to edge devices, significantly expanding the deployment and impact of this important technology. Hailo-10 was designed to integrate creative artificial intelligence capabilities into users’ daily lives, freeing them from the limitations of cloud-based networks. Users can become the owners of tools such as chatbots and copilots, improving productivity and enriching the user experience.

Established in February 2017 by graduates of the Elite Technological Unit of the Intelligence Corps, Hailo became a unicorn in 2022 after raising $136 million in capital. With offices in several countries and a network of distributors worldwide, Hailo serves over 300 customers globally. The company’s processors are a rethinking of traditional computing architecture, enabling smart devices to perform sophisticated tasks while minimizing power consumption and cost. These processors are intended for integration in various sectors, including automotive, security, computing, industry, and retail.

The new Hailo-10 accelerator empowers edge devices with GenAI, allowing users to fully own their creative artificial intelligence experiences. By transitioning AI processing from the cloud to end devices, Hailo ensures continuous access to GenAI services, real-time processing, improved privacy, and reduced carbon footprint. The Hailo-10 accelerator achieves up to 40 TOPS and is faster and more energy-efficient compared to integrated NPU solutions. This advancement in technology enables users to run a wide range of AI applications seamlessly across different end devices and platforms.

Hailo-10 will start selling units in the second quarter of 2024, facilitating various applications in personal computers and in-vehicle systems. Whether users are automating translation, summarizing information, or creating images and videos based on text commands, Hailo-10 allows them to do so directly from their devices without burdening the CPU or draining the battery. This advancement in artificial intelligence technology marks a significant step forward in making AI an integral part of our daily lives.
